  This place is the best. 13 euros for an excellent three course meal: contorni, pasta, and meat/fish. Once we discovered it we didn't have dinner anywhere else (except Sunday and Monday nights, when it's closed) during our week-long stay in Naples. There are few restaurants I've enjoyed as much as this place. A true treasure. I miss it already.
  
  One thing. The guy who runs the place and the other waiters are super nice, but they speak very little English and there's no menu. To be clear, this is not a complaint; it's located in Italy after all! But if you don't speak Italian (as I don't), be prepared to communicate with gestures, not know exactly what you're getting, and go with the flow. If you're picky or want something specific, it might be tough (if you don't speak Italian).
  
  To Vincenzo and the rest of the people who cooked and served the amazing meal we've had this week: thank you! You were a big part of a great week in Naples, and I'll remember your restaurant fondly for a long time.

  Came here under the recommendation from yelp and didn't disappoint. Excellent first course of various choices and pasta was amazing. The service was excellent...put this on your list of places to eat when visiting Naples.

  Best seafood iv ever had, a real Napoleon experience. The owner doesn't speak any English but it didn't stop from really enjoying the place, he offered us some real authentic food. A must if you're in Naples! Get the seafood dish and you won't be disappointed. 6/5 stars

  My husband and I wandered the streets of Napoli in pursuit of comfort food...but not knowing how that would translate into Authentic Napolian. We hoped that a restaurant that fit the "Osteria" description would satisfy our hunger. Once we found Elvira, we returned a total of 3 nights in a row!
  We are not very fluent in Italian. The menus in Napoli can be intimidating written only in the native language. Vincenzo, Elvira's owner/host does all the deciding for you! There is no menu. Vincenzo asks, "beef?"....."pollo (chicken)?" Just turn it over to him, and you have yourself a memory that you will want to repeat again and again! You will not be disappointed! The ingredients in the authentic dishes are simple enough that they will satisfy!
  The red house wine comes w and it is superb, the primi part of the meal that you choose before your entre comes is regionally prepared veggies. Eggplant shows up a lot in Napoli! But don't be dismayed! There is also zucchini, tomatoes, broccoli, olives! So deliciously prepared w the best olive oil!
  Vincenzo and Elvira's was one of the highlights of our trip! You can not go wrong! If you want the experience of being in an Italian's HOME as a cherished GUEST you need to go AGAIN and AGAIN! We will be back!

  Stumbled upon this gem on a Friday night. Amazing service, the host was very hospitable, and our food came out very quickly. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the antipasto, and the pasta genovese, and the chicken! We also had a traditional Neapolitan dessert which was also very tasty. Good value, impeccable service, and great traditional food. Would come again if we come back to Naples! Thank you for taking care of us. P.S. expect no menu/ English speaking, but the language barrier did not interfere with the quality of food or service!
